So, how can you increase your typing speed? I will share some effective tools that I used in increasing my typing speed. Let’s start!
- Personal computer (PC) or Macintosh
- 10-15 minutes a day
- 3 days a week
- Internet connection (optional)
Typing accuracy is the percentage of correct entries out of total entries typed (measured in percent) while Typing speed is the number of words accurately typed per minute (measured in WPM).
Start with the correct position of your fingers. You can find the correct finger typing positions here.
Accuracy should be your primary goal. Your speed will just improve as you keep practicing.
Cool Type Master
For personal computer users, I recommend installing Cool Type Master. Most software have limited letters for practice (in their trial version) but Cool Type Master is different because it allows users to practice all the keyboard letters even in its trial version. Try it, I’m sure you’ll find it helpful in mastering the QWERTY keyboard in less time.
